The Kuwait U-17 national handball team will depart tomorrow, Sunday, August 24, 2025, for a training camp in Croatia and Slovenia as part of its preparations for the upcoming Asian Championship, scheduled to take place in Jordan from September 15 to 25. The tournament also serves as a qualifier for the U-17 World Championship in Morocco, set for October 24 to November 2.

The delegation will be led by Treasurer Khaled Taleb and includes National Teams Technical Director Faisal Siwan, Team Manager Shaker Arti, Head Coach Ivan Dragic from Croatia, Assistant Coach Khaled Al-Mulla, Goalkeeper Coach Marwan Meqayez, and Performance Analyst Ayman Al-Sheikh.

A 22-player squad has been selected, featuring young talents such as Mohammed Jabara, Hussein Al-Istad, Abdulmohsen Al-Hashel, Mohammed Al-Farhan, Naif Al-Ajmi, Ali Al-Hindal, Abdulwahab Al-Mutawa, Faisal Al-Enezi, Yaqoub Ashkanani, Salem Al-Mahmoud, Ahmed Al-Muthin, Saqr Al-Obaid, Abdulhadi Barak, Fahad Al-Mahboub, Ahmed Al-Shammari, Bader Al-Saleh, Yaser Dashti, Hussein Awadh, Omar Mamdouh, Abdulaziz Jawhar, Athbi Al-Enezi, and Abdullah Eid Al-Allali.

The coaching staff hopes the European camp will boost the players’ fitness and tactical readiness, giving Kuwait the best chance to secure qualification for the World Championship.
