Kuwait’s national handball team secured an important 31–27 victory over South Korea today in the final round of the 22nd Asian Handball Championship main stage, booking their place in the semi-finals and officially qualifying for the 2027 IHF World Men’s Handball Championship in Germany.
The match was held at Sheikh سعد Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah Sports Complex, in front of a strong crowd, and showcased one of Kuwait’s best performances of the tournament.
Despite trailing 14–15 at halftime, Kuwait delivered a dominant second-half display, controlling the pace of the game and turning the score around with disciplined teamwork and high efficiency to seal a deserved win.
Kuwait will now face Qatar on Tuesday in the semi-finals, while Bahrain will take on Japan in the other semi-final clash.
