The Kuwaiti U-Youth National Handball Team has intensified its training during the Mediterranean Friendly Tournament currently taking place in Tunisia. The team is led by National Teams Director Faisal Sowan, alongside coaches Ivan Dragic and national coach Khaled Al-Mulla.
As part of the preparation plan, the team is set to play five matches in the tournament against Montenegro, Italy, Greece, Croatia, and Tunisia.
In this regard, Head of Delegation and Treasurer of the Kuwait Handball Association, Khaled Taleb, emphasized the federation’s commitment to developing the sport and the national teams by strengthening technical staff and providing an optimal training environment aligned with the demands of Asian and international competitions.
“Our goal is to participate in major international tournaments and achieve the best possible results. To this end, we have focused on supporting all national teams, from grassroots to senior levels, with a particular emphasis on youth categories to build a solid foundation for the senior national team,” Taleb said.
He added that the team's participation in the Mediterranean Tournament is part of a well-planned preparation strategy developed by the federation in cooperation with the coaching staff, in anticipation of the upcoming Asian championships.
