Team delegation head and Kuwait Handball Association Treasurer, Khaled Taleb, acknowledged the difficulty of the upcoming competition, particularly with the absence of goalkeeper Abdulmohsen Al-Hashel due to personal circumstances and the injury of first-choice goalkeeper Mohammed Al-Farhan. Nevertheless, Taleb expressed great confidence in the players and the technical and administrative staff.
He highlighted that the preparation phase included several local and international training camps, most notably in Croatia and Slovenia, where the team played challenging matches that improved their technical and physical readiness.
Taleb praised the efforts of the players and staff, stressing that the team’s goal is to proudly represent Kuwait in this important continental event, especially as it marks the inaugural edition of the U17 championship.
Kuwait has been drawn in Group A alongside Hong Kong and Bahrain, with their opening match against Hong Kong scheduled for tomorrow.
